Review of Deep Inside

The movie deep inside stirred amongst others Uti Nwanchukwu, Omoni Oboli and Zach Orji. The movie was directed and produced by Lancelot Imasuen
The movie centres around two love birds that are faced with the reality of life. The man must now reciprocate a favour done him by the daughter of his employer, marry her to stop her father from dying. The father wants her to get married on time so that there can be a trusted son in law to take over his vast wealth when he dies.
Sound: The movie was shown in at Silverbird Cinema in Ikeja Lagos. There were problems with the sound. The sound was not so coherent and there were echoes here and there. Although one could hear the words, in most cases, the echoes overshadowed the words. This is a major problem with Nollywood Movies and it  kills movies. I would give sound 5.5
Picture Quality: Actually, the picture quality although not too bad, I believe it could be much improved. Funny enough some of the aspects of the film had good picture qualities whereas others left room for questions. Not much to say on picture quality, I give it a 6 for picture quality.
Cast: The cast of the movie included Omoni Oboli, Uti Nwachuwku, Zark Orji, Solomon Akiyesi, Chinyere Nwabueze and Vanessa OsilonyeThe cast was made up of the experienced and not too experienced which was a good balance. However, I believe some of the cast could do with a bit more acting classes e.g. Nneka who played one of the lead roles, I believe in some cases, she was too artificial. I am not of the school of thought that because you are the producer or executive producer, you should take a lead role. Someone else would have played that role better. In spite of all the above comments, on the whole, the cast delivered and I would give the cast 7.5
Story line: as usual, the script has been un-researched. A partial stroke was claimed as not being too serious, The stroke victim was treated with a drip, there were no monitors or no vital signs taken etc. As an industry, we need to replicate what would happen in reallife. At least vital signs would be taken for a stroke victim. The story was also about what we can call an arranged marriage. What I found intriguing is how a lady would allow her fiancé go ahead with an arranged marriage just to please her dying father.
Everyone except Nneka seem to think that she made a mistake allowing Wale go ahead with the said marriage. One would not believe that Shiela was getting married, They had an agreement and even though the honeymoon suite was made for married couples they never slept together. The storyline keeps being intriguing. Would Wale go back to his fiancé with the giant 8 bedroom house his father in law has just given and the car gift. Wale is indeed a player!
Sometimes, the director needs to be innovative. There were two different dinning scenes, one between only the couple and the other with the couple and the fiancé on different days and yet the meal of rice and chicken were exactly the same thing. At least, there should have been a different meal. (just my thought to make it look real)
However, the biggest mistake which I consider unforgivable and which was unedited was at the end of the movie where instead of saying Sheila, I love you, Wale said Nneka, I love you. That shows lack of attention of detail. The story line on the whole was not too bad, but due to certain obvious things, I would ward a mark of 6.5
Overall performance: Since I did not see the premiere of the movie, but only saw this at the cinema, I think overall the movie was not bad. There were scenes where I laughed. Although there were certain errors as highlighted, I would recommend the movie. Overall, I would give a mark of
In totality the total score out of 50 is 31.5 giving it 63 out of 100 and therefore a final score of 6.3
